UNBALANCED INPUT TRANSFORMER
- UM: EA
- Estimated Weight: 1.0
- Brand: RDL
The RDL TX-J2 is a compact unbalanced input transformer that converts stereo unbalanced signals from consumer devices into a balanced mono output, ideal for integration into professional audio systems. It accepts stereo signals via a 3.5 mm TRS mini-jack or dual RCA jacks and sums them internally to deliver a single balanced mono output on a detachable terminal block. The TX-J2 provides galvanic isolation between input and output, reducing noise and ground loop issues in AV installations. Designed for use in commercial, educational, and studio environments, this module is perfect for integrating laptops, media players, or smartphones into distributed sound systems. Its rugged TX™ Series housing allows for versatile mounting options in rack rooms, lecterns, or wall cavities.
Note: The TX-J2 is a passive module that does not add gain to the consumer level input. Therefore, the balanced output level from the module is not a standard +4 dBu. For installations where a +4 dBu balanced line-level is required, or if the input level is particularly low, RDL’s TX-LC2 is recommended.
Features:
- Mix two unbalanced audio signals to mono balanced
- Combine stereo into mono with balanced output
- Unbalanced to balanced conversion without gain
- Hum cancellation on unbalanced line inputs
- Frequency response 30 Hz to 20 kHz (+/- 1 dB)
