The SRX918S is an 18-inch powered subwoofer designed to integrate with the JBL SRX900 Series full-range sound reinforcement systems. It features a JBL 2279-1 woofer utilizing Differential Drive technology, which incorporates a dual voice coil and dual gap design to enhance heat dissipation, reduce power compression, and extend dynamic range compared to conventional single-coil woofers. The subwoofer includes a large low-frequency port that optimizes airflow and minimizes audible turbulence at high output levels.

This model incorporates built-in digital signal processing (DSP) and amplification for standardized performance and simplified operation. System control is available through dedicated software compatible with Windows, macOS, and iPad OS platforms.
