The JBL MA4 is a 2RU, 4-channel amplifier designed for cinema audio applications, utilizing Crown DSI Digital Screen Array technology and 32-bit/96kHz floating-point DSP from the Crown CDi DriveCore series. It offers three power configurations and is available in analog and analog-plus-digital (“D”) versions, the latter supporting Dante/AES67 network connectivity. The amplifier supports bridgeable outputs and can operate in a 2O mode to power up to four surround speakers from a single channel.

The MA4 includes SNMP support for networked audio distribution and integration with third-party theater management systems. It features JBL Cinema Speaker presets to streamline configuration, optimize playback, and provide equipment protection. The D-model interfaces directly with Dolby Atmos systems without additional processing hardware. Crown DriveCore technology increases power density and stability by consolidating internal components into a single processing chip.
