Intellivox DS500 is an active beam-shaping, self-powered loudspeaker array with an acoustic length exceeding 4 meters. It contains 32 custom-designed 4-inch loudspeakers arranged based on a patented algorithm. The loudspeakers are driven by a 16-channel Class-D amplifier powered by a switched-mode power supply. This configuration provides long-throw sound coverage up to 70 meters with uniform sound pressure level distribution and enhanced control at low to mid frequencies.

The system includes extensive surveillance functions compliant with Voice Alarm (life safety) standards. Control is facilitated via proprietary WinControl software, enabling adjustment of beam steering, audio processing, and monitoring parameters. The low-frequency response is extendable through an external JBL subwoofer system.
